     Superintendent Jerald K. & Evangelist Sheila A. Simpkins are best friends that have been married for 45 years and they have 3 children, Jerald II, Eric, and Briana and five grandchildren, Keijon, Nazir, Justice, Zariah, and VanTrelle.
    Superintendent Simpkins was called to the pastorate in January 1998, with his wife by his side, he founded the SOLID ROCK CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST.  The Lord has tremendously prospered this multi-cultural work of God.  In 2000 Pastor Jerald K. Simpkins, Sr. was appointed to serve as Assistant Superintendent of the Sweet Unity District under the leadership of the late Superintendent A.C. (Dad) Macklin.  It was Dad Macklin’s request that Superintendent Simpkins succeed him at his departure to his home in glory.
    Together, the Solid Rock Church served faithfully under much adversity, but after several years of moving from one place to another, the Lord favored the Solid Rock Church Family to purchase their first church home in Newark, Ca – and for this we are eternally grateful.  In 2018 the Lord saw fit to expand Solid Rock's territory to a second location in Tracy, CA. This was truly a miracle and God has prospered the ministry in its new vineyard.
    Superintendent Simpkins received his Bachelor's Degree from St. Paul Baptist Seminary in Oxnard, Ca. He serves on the Executive Board of the Nor Cal Metropolitan Jurisdiction, as well as, the Executive Secretary of the Jurisdiction. Bishop J.W. Macklin, 2nd Assistant Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ and Jurisdictional Prelate, appointed Superintendent Simpkins as a Jurisdictional Administrative Assistant in October 2009.
    Lady Simpkins is truly a humble and faithful witness for Christ. She has a genuine concern for God’s people. She is a First Lady that reaches out to all. Her involvement in the body of Christ has been abundant. Over the past 21 years, Lady Simpkins has devoted herself to the Women’s Department. As President of the Women’s Department, her passion and earnest desire is to see the women of God set free and to walk in their destiny as God has planned. She is an active Sunday School & Tuesday Night Bible Study Teacher, she facilitates an in-depth bible study group for Bible Study Fellowship in Fremont, CA. She is a Marriage Counselor, Teacher/Advisor for the Women’s Ministry and Mentor/Confidant to First Ladies at large and much more.
    Together, this powerful example of anointed leaders, are yielded to God in every area of their lives. They have a passion to minister healing and deliverance (through prayer and the Word of God) to all who are spiritually, emotionally and physically wounded; so that they can become whole and be all that God would have them to be from generation to generation.
